In order to provide you with services such as training, risk assessments and or management plans, we need information from you which may include your identity, your address, your email, and your telephone. Additional details may be required or taken to tailor our services to meet your needs, such as medical records, school records, personal history, etc. This information is protected by GDPR.
We collect or use the following information to provide services and goods, including delivery:
- Names and contact details
- Addresses
- Date of birth
- Health information (including dietary requirements, allergies and health conditions)
- Job title and or the company or organisation you work for
- Health and safety information
- Photographs or video recordings
- Information relating to compliments or complaints
- Information pertinent to fulfilling our service to you

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, or if you have any other data protection related issues or queries, please email dani@supportiveaction.com. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
If you are concerned that we have breached a privacy law or code binding on us, please send an email marked “Urgent” to dani@supportiveaction.com. We aim to respond in a reasonable time (normally 24 hours). Our Data Protection Lead will manage your complaint and will give you additional information about how it will be handled.
Disclosure Of A Health Condition
We are required to ensure for the purposes of health and safety that all delegates attending our practical Manual Handling courses are fit and able to effectively participate. It is imperative to ensure the individual can take part without further injury to themselves or others.
Examples may be: Pregnancy, difficulty processing information, any physical limitation that would prevent a delegate from carrying out required tasks. Adaptations may be put in place to enable the delegate to take part. A delegate may wish to disclose this information in person verbally, in writing or via any means of communication. We will only use information about your health with your consent and for the purpose of providing our services.

- Personal information is collected to provide tailored risk assessments and managements plans for the client. Personal information of support staff and other professionals is collected in order to provided certified certificates for training.

How Long We Keep Information
We hold data only as long as we are required by law for accounting and tax purposes, which may be 3 years or longer. If you make an enquiry via our website we will keep that correspondence only as long as your enquiry is active. Emails received directly and related to services we are providing you will be kept for 6 years before being destroyed after you advise us we are no longer working with you. Notes maintained as part of therapy or supervision with you will be stored for 6 years before being destroyed after you advise us we are no longer working with you.
We may use your information in our accounting system to bill for services, take payments, file tax returns, and track your financial obligations to us. Once our financial relationship is concluded we will continue to hold that information until no longer required by HMRC or any other party with a legitimate interest. We do not hold credit card details.
We do not obtain data from third parties unless it has been released to us with your informed consent. Examples of this may be legal, medical, criminal, educational, social, or other records released by your solicitor for use in preparing our services on your behalf.

- Testimonials may be added to LinkedIn and or the company website, but only with the individual explicit consent to do to. You can request for this information to be taken down/deleted at any time.
WhatsApp
We set up WhatsApp groups from time to time as a support network for individuals. You are given the option to opt in or decline as fits your requirement. Others within the group can see your phone number, and there is currently no way of preventing this. If you do not want others to know your number do not join the group or use WhatsApp to communicate with anyone that you do not wish to see your phone number. We use your number to verify you are a real person on admission to the group in order to prevent spammers entering the site. If we add you into a WhatsApp group this will only be done as a result of receiving your express consent. You can leave the WhatsApp group at any time.
